In this fun episode, I share what my first week was like at my new village school in Armenia. I talk about being nervous on the first day, but then feeling welcomed by the nice students and experienced teachers. I describe sitting in on classes from grades 3 to 12 and being impressed by how well the students could speak English. My favorite was leading an activity with the energetic 3rd graders! I also discuss my co-teachers Lucine and Mary, who I have so much to learn from. While there were some language problems and cultural differences, the warm hospitality of the staff made my first week really special. This episode shows the strong sense of community at my new school and my goals of building relationships with students, teachers, and families in this village over the next two years.
